"What We Believe"

The value of a church shape what-and-who-it is. Jerusalem Baptist Church has basic values that help shape us into the Family of God.  A Church where truly "Everybody Is Somebody, But Christ Is All"

We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired, and is a perfect treasure of heavenly instruction with God as the author. (2 Tim 3:16-17

We believe that there is only one true and living God; who is the infinite and Supreme Ruler of heaven and earth. (Psalm 83:18; Matthew 28:19)

We believe that man was created by God as recorded in Genesis.  It was through Adam that the human race fell into sin and deprivation. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12)

We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace, through the mediatorial office of the Son of God; whom by the Spirit was born of the Virgin Mary, yet without sin. (Ephesians 2:8; John 3:16,18)

We believe that each believer is justified in Jesus Christ, which includes the pardon of sin, the promise of eternal life on principles of righteousness, and the blessed peace and favor of God, and secures every other blessing needful for time and eternity. (John 1:6; Acts 13:39; Romans 5:1)

We believe the blessing of salvation are made free to all by the Gospel.  It is the duty of all to accept them by cordial , penitent and obedient faith created by God as recorded in Genesis. It was through Adam that the human race fell into sin and deprivation (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 5:12)Isaiah 55:1; Romans 6:23)

We believe that a visible Church is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by his laws; and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:42-47

We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people. (Colossians 3:17; Malachi 1:6-14; Proverbs 27:17

We believe that churches should be led by those with leadership gifts, and structured according to the nature and mission of the church. (Nehemiah 1 & 2; Romans 12:8; 1 Timothy 3; 1 Peter 5
